Our Bus Boot Camp is ideal for anyone who owns an air-cooled VW and wants to learn how to maintain it correctly, whether a longstanding enthusiast, a new owner, or if you are in the process of looking to purchase an air-cooled classic and want to avoid buying a 'lemon'.
The Boot Camp day is a laid back fun day. We assume no prior knowledge or experience and we will guide you through the basics. The more technical, training is friendly, informal and 'hands on'.
The course covers the maintenance and repair of all air-cooled vehicles, from Split screens and Bays to Beetles and Karmann Ghias, Beach Buggies, the lot. If it has a air-cooled VW engine then the course will be relevant to you.
We ask attendees to join us at 8.30am and the course runs through until approximately 4.30pm.
Yes! We pride ourselves on the quality of the food we provide and only use the best local caterers. You'll be welcomed with bacon sandwiches/croissants, tea and coffee. For lunch both meat eaters and vegetarians are catered for and you'll enjoy something hot, perhaps a jacket potato with chilli or stew accompanied by a range of salads, and then pudding. If you've still got room, we'll break in the afternoon for a muffin. Oh, and an endless supply of tea and coffee is available throughout the day.
If you're travelling from a distance, there's lots of accommodation available, whether in historic Cambridge or the nearby town of Newmarket.

There's no need to bring your bus as we have a selection of vehicles available for you to work on.
Your normal clothes will be fine, the Boot Camp is held in our working workshop so there will always be elements of oil and grease around, so probably best not wear your dancing clothes!
